Story boarding our ideas

last lesson, our group put together our ideas and attempted to plan out our story board. We got a few of our shot ideas done, but as I am the only one present today, I have decided to continue with the story board and draw it up on paper. I have taken the ideas that we thought up from last lesson, which were: Shot 1 The duration of this shot will be between 3-5 seconds, and will involve the main character opening the door to his photographic dark room, Shot 2, which will show the main character turning on the light in his photographic room. We thought a suitable room would be the language office in our school. Shot 3 will be the main character walking over to his chair to sit down, while showing the photos around the room in a canted angle shot. He will also be wearing all white, which will be suitable for a photographic dark room. An idea for Shot 4 would be a short take of his eyes, then start showing close-ups of his hand movement, while he is examining the photos. During this shot, credits can be displayed; a way to do this can be to show the names under the photos he looks at, or showing the names on a piece of paper and the main character crossing them out, making it look like a list of victims. Shot 5 could be of the camera again panning across the photos slowly, while playing eerie music (we still haven't decided what the music will be yet, but Orren has been looking at different samples that would be suitable for our shots). This may be a point-of-view shot. After 2-4 seconds the camera can be focusing on one particular photo, if this is a point-of-view shot, it will give the impression that he has a particular interest in this person and would add mystery for the audience as they don't know why...... Also, to make it seem more like the focus is on that picture, we can change the depth of field, so the other photos are looking out of focus. Shot 6 can be a master shot, again, showing his eyes, so the audience still don't know who he is, building suspense.

These are the shots I have drawn up on the story board, it's still early in the stage of our story boarding, so changes still may be made!!
